Game Theory-Lolita Nation(1987)

So in my last entry I shared my favourite ever Power Pop album, now I give you my 2nd favourite. it's more experimental than BVS, and it's a double album. Because of Game Theory's Jangle sound, they were compared to R.E.M. in response to this Game Theory named the opening track "Kenneth-What's The Frequency?" a play on R.E.M.'s "What's The Frequency, Kenneth?". The track is mainly full of random noise. I feel that Lolita Nation is on a par with even the most highly regarded double albums such as Abbey road and Physical Graffiti, even better actually IMO(not as good as The White Album though).
This album is for some strange reason currently out of print, which sickens me. Who knows maybe if enough people show interest it will be reissued. But for now, it's very expensive to get physically.
So enjoy the album.

Shoes-Black Vinyl Shoes(1977)

Black Vinyl Shoes is my all time favourite Power Pop album. Power Pop is a genre i've loved for a long time and Shoes get what I like down to a par. Sure the albums not perfect(the drums need to be fixed) but it's still fantastic. Shoes were one of the first bands with a video on MTV back in the days when it wasn't shit. So please enjoy this.
